We are at a pivotal point in human history. We inhabit a world that is divided and shrouded in deception. It is very difficult to trust anything we hear, read, or see anymore. People are becoming increasingly fragmented and identities are sought after and grasped so tightly like never before. Everyone claims that they have “The Truth” or “The Right Way” without ever stopping to just breath and give thanks for the gift of life and the present that greets them everyday. There is much darkness in this world. Despite what you may have been told it is not all Love and Light and we have all come to the point that it is impossible to not notice what is going on around us and the state of things. But while we have the option to harden our hearts and sulk while wasting away our precious moments on earth, there is also another option. To choose TRUTH. To choose LOVE. To choose GRATITUDE.

At Corazón de Acero our mission is Truth, Love, Gratitude and all the virtues that give thanks and honor this life we have been given and that aid us in cultivating a more peaceful and beautiful existence. Huachuma is a Truth teller and reveals what is. We hurt ourselves when we refuse to face the lies that wreak havoc on our bodies, minds, and souls. Many of us have adopted narratives and systems that not only damage us, but also the world around us. Shadow projections often appear as we constantly point the finger at the “other” while we forget there are three fingers pointing back at us. A wise medicine man once said that “we must first focus on the war within ourselves, once we end the war inside us, the war outside will cease to exist.” The mind is our battleground. Huachuma is a vessel of peace that is used to lay down the violence we wage against ourselves; and this in turn helps to heal the world. We serve this medicine to uproot the lies that permeate the consciousness of each individual who sits with us. It was said that you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free. We believe this at Corazón de Acero. Ultimately it is up to you whether you want to pursue and align with what is True. The medicine of Huachuma is a teacher of the Way and helps us to reconnect with that small still voice within and practice discernment in all areas of our lives. It is an absolute honor to carry this medicine and share it with those that are seeking to align themselves with the Truth.

We are called “Corazón de Acero” which translates in English to “Heart of Steel”. This name is rooted in strength through love. It embodies personal integrity, responsibility, and accountability even in the face of difficulties. Having a heart of steel allows one to love and continue on the path of what is true, even when opposition arises and the way forward seems bleak or confusing. It is a name that emboldens us to keep going, to always keep going. The plant medicine of Huachuma (San Pedro) is a master teacher of the heart. The Quechua word “Huachuma” translates as the verb: “to decapitate”. This decapitation of our heads moves us from the turbulent mind and into the loving heart, purifying it of all that does not serve us and others.

At Corazón de Acero, everyone is welcome. Each person in this world has a story and much to teach and share. There is no need to wear a mask or silence what is knocking on the doors of your heart. Corazón de Acero is a space for open discourse and genuine respect for others and what they have to say.
